A Real Boy! (Plus random thoughts)

Just before I left on the 80 Mile, Geoff (Principal) called me into his office. Naturally (why naturally I wonder after writing that) my first instinct was I had done something horribly wrong and was about to be sent packing. However, to my surprise he informed me that I was being offered a full-time position as a member of the Kodai teaching staff. So from Oct. 1 till May 31 I am now no longer a volunteer but instead, a full fledged teacher at KIS! In the words of a great thinker from the past: "I'm a real boy!" Of course this means that next semester I will most likely be even more busy than this one but I will have had a semester of experience so I am confident I can handle the extra classes. Regardless it means that I will be able to now afford a plane ticket home as opposed to sailing and or swimming...

In other news, I now weigh 209 pounds fully dressed.

My favorite pen from the stockroom is a Pilot Vball Grip.

I enjoy writing letters but always seem to leave them 3/4 completed and in a pile on my dresser.

I killed one of my plants that Beth gave me.

After school and basketball practice I usually go to bed around 9:00.

My favorite meal is breakfast. (Note generally at least 5-7 fried eggs or two bigs servings of scrambled eggs)

I really miss my road bike but I am so damn intrigued by all of the riders coming out of retirment. Next year will be a crazy season.

My favorite class to teach at this time is ethics. (we just discussed feminism)

We are learning about Mansa Musa in my Humanities class (check him out he is a cool dude)

Lastly I am coaching the Inters (seventh and eighth grade) basketball team. Be prepared for some old school, Kenyon Wanamingo, in-your-face, man to man, tenacious D.

Also here is a video of Ibex Cliffs. It's around 8,000 feet to the plains below.

I finally got the videos to work on the computer at school- why do you seem attracted to really high places? It's beautiful, but I'm glad I'm not there! The lungi is truly a multi-purpose garment!

Hello sir- Nice work on the promo! Your photos are absolutely gorgeous. MN is scenic this time of year, but couldn't hold a torch. Hope all is well.
